AIMS mentoring programme
The AIMS mentoring support programme is an early help service that delivers a range of mentoring based personal development activities for children and young people aged between 11 and 19 (up to 25 with SEN), including those who require additional support to overcome challenges to their personal, academic, and social progression.
The programme’s service delivery objectives are to:
- Provide referred children and young people meeting the programme criteria with a weekly meeting with a trained adult mentor over a time frame based on their identified needs, 12 weeks is our standard offer, but this can be amended based on assessment of need;
- Support children and young people to address challenges to their personal, academic, and social progression by co-creating a personal action plan of activities;
- Engage children and young people in targeted activities to address key life and social issues, including supporting physical and emotional health & wellbeing, supporting engagement with employment, education or training, building confidence and self-esteem, addressing challenging behavior and encouraging positive behaviors, supporting the development of independent living skills;
- Provide children and young people with information about, and support their engagement with, positive activities in their local community; and,
- Provide children and young people with opportunities to meet with other young people and develop key social skills through participation in weekly drop-in sessions.

Arts for Life Project
The Arts for Life Project provides therapeutic, creative arts support for children and young people aged between 6 and 25 years old. Based on the Hillingdon and Harrow border, the charity supports those with special needs, including ADHD, autism (ASD), anxiety, and depression through one-to-one, group, and skills-based programs.

Being Me programme

CAAS Support Services for ADHD
The Centre for ADHD and Autism Support (CAAS) provides support services for ADHD and autism, focusing on children, young people (aged 8–25), and adults (18+). They offer, parental support for ages 0–25, social/creative groups for ages 11–24, and individual, tailored support for young people, covering early years to post-25.

Cruse Bereavement Support
Cruse Bereavement Support provides assistance to all age groups, from young children to adults. Their specialist Children & Young People (CYP) service supports individuals aged 7–25 across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, while the national helpline and general services are available to anyone, including children and adults.
Key details on age-specific support from Cruse include:
- Children & Young People (CYP): Tailored, in-person, and remote support is available for children and young people aged 7–25. Some local services may offer one-to-one support for children under 18.
- Adults: Support is available to adults aged 18 and over, who can self-refer for help.
- Helpline (0808 808 1677): There is no minimum age to call the, with support offered to children (from age 4) and adults.
- Referrals: Children under 18 can be referred by a parent or carer.
Support methods include one-to-one, group sessions, telephone, video, and in-person, with specialized support for schools and communities.

Community Eating Disorder Service for Children and Young People
We offer help and support to children and young people aged 17 or under who have a suspected or confirmed eating disorder diagnosis.
Our team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, a dietician, paediatrician and psychological therapists offer assessment, diagnosis and intervention on a range of suspected and confirmed eating disorders including:
- Anorexia nervosa
- Bulimia nervosa
- Binge eating disorder
- Atypical anorectic and bulimic eating disorder
We accept referrals from GPs, other healthcare professionals, schools and colleges.

CYP Co-ordinator
The CYP Co-ordinator is a non-clinical support role for children and young people aged 2–17 and their families. The aim is simple: to help you find the right support at the right time.
This service is especially helpful if you have emotional or mental health worries. The CYP Co-ordinator acts as a friendly point of contact, helping you understand what support is available and how to access it, so care feels more joined up and less confusing.
Whether you’re looking for someone to talk to, local activities, support groups, our co-ordinator will take the time to listen, help you feel comfortable, and find the support that is right for you.

EACH Counselling
EACH Counselling and Support in Hillingdon provides specialist services for various age groups, ranging from 11-year-olds up to adults (18+), depending on the specific program. Halo Children's Foundation- Bereavement Charity
Halo Children’s Foundation is charity set up to support children and their families after the death of a loved one. We hold a monthly Expressive Arts and Play session and a weekly Kids Club at the HALO play café in Uxbridge, offering art and play therapy, counselling support, a bereavement book library and peer support so families do not grieve alone.
HALO also offer many other services to the families including personalised memory boxes, forever cushions made out of loved ones clothing, funded trips to create new memories together and more.

Hillingdon SEND Family Support (and the wider Hillingdon SEND Local Offer) provides services, advice, and activities for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities from birth up to the age of 25. This includes support for families through workshops, events, and early help services.

SORTED Substance Use and Misuse Programme
Substance Use and Misuse Programmes deliver a range of targeted substance misuse-related personal development and support programmes for children and young people 11-19, young adults aged 20-24, and adult parents, guardians, and carers, including those who are at risk of negative substance misuse outcomes. The programme offer ‘Sorted’ offers substance use and misuse education programmes and treatment services for children and young adults, and information and advice services for parents across the borough.
