Schools play a vital role in supporting children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing
For many children and young people, school is where they spend most of their time, making it an ideal place to notice early signs of distress and provide timely help. Accessing support in school can help children feel safe, understood, and connected, reducing the risk of issues escalating.
Parents and carers are encouraged to reach out to their child’s school to learn about the support available. Many schools offer a range of resources, from pastoral care and wellbeing programs to links with specialist services. Working together with schools ensures children receive consistent care and guidance, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
